Niki Nabavi Nouri

Niki has extensive experience providing advice and preventative counseling to clients on labor and employment law matters. She has a deep understanding of the state and federal laws impacting employers in such areas as discrimination and harassment, employee discipline, wage-and-hour issues, leaves of absence, employment agreements and policies, disability- related accommodations, and matters involving labor relations and collective bargaining.

Prior to joining Folger Levin, Niki spent eight years representing California public school districts. Niki utilizes her wealth of experience and knowledge in education law to help clients navigate the unique and complex legal challenges that confront independent schools and other educational organizations.

Extending beyond legal representation, Niki is a seasoned presenter and has conducted trainings on a wide range of topics throughout her career, including compliance with employment and education laws. She is currently a course instructor for Leadership in the Legal Profession through the Berkeley Law Executive Education Program, where she works with legal professionals to develop their approaches to leadership and grow their management skills.

Niki received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was a member of the California Asylum Representation Clinic and Managing Editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law. She received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Master’s Degree in International Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, where she focused on Political Science. Niki is a member of the California Bar.
