    Labor & Employment

[/av_textblock] [/av_one_full][av_two_fifth] [av_textblock] With expertise and experience in all areas of labor and employment law, Folger Levin offers comprehensive services to meet the legal needs of employers. Our practice embraces employment litigation, preventive counseling, traditional labor law, and employment-related business issues. As litigators, our attorneys have successfully defended Title VII, wage and hour, ERISA and WARN Act class actions as well as discrimination lawsuits, wrongful termination claims, and claims involving the use of intellectual property and trade secrets by former employees. We have also handled hundreds of charges filed with state, federal and municipal agencies. Recognizing that our clients are often best served by avoiding litigation altogether, we advise clients on a preventive basis, providing strategic counseling on employment issues and laws, reviewing personnel policies and employee handbooks, conducting seminars and legal audits, planning for reductions in force and layoffs (including WARN compliance), and advising clients on the enforceability of non-competition and nondisclosure agreements. [/av_textblock] [/av_two_fifth][av_two_fifth] [av_textblock] We are experts in traditional labor law. We assist employers in all aspects of traditional labor-management issues, including union organizing campaigns, contract negotiations, strike planning, grievances and arbitrations, union decertification petitions, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board. Teaming with our business attorneys, we counsel clients on employment-related business issues, including preparing and negotiating employment and independent contractor agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, employee confidentiality agreements, executive compensation agreements, and stock option and related plans.
